First Year Experience
As the librarian for first year experience courses, I can
- Provide research consultations, library instruction, course guides, and student learning assessments for first year students, and faculty and staff supporting FYE programs
- Organize or present at orientation events for new students including transfers, summer bridge and international students
- Collaborate with campus partners to create/assess learning workshops or events

- First Year Writing (English 5A/5B and 10) including the Writing Center
- First Year Communication (Comm 3/8)
- STEM Collaboratives (CSM 10/15)
- University One (UNIV 1) and other first-year academic programs across the disciplines

My Liaison Departments where I can offer support/service:
Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management including Services for Students with Disabilities, Health and Wellness Promotion, College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP), Education Opportunity Program (EOP), Dream Success Center, Summer Bridge, SupportNet, Supplemental Instruction, Project Rebound, Upward Bound, Career Development Center, Cross Cultural and Gender Center, and the Learning Center.
- Organize meetings, workshops and events collaboratively
- Receive book requests to be purchased for the library
- Partner with departments to form new collaborative services
- Serve as a referral for students who need extra help in research
