The Research Process

Model of the Information Search Process from Carol Kuhlthau

The Model of the Information Search Process is a concept developed by Carol Kuhlthau that incorporates cognition, actions, and feelings regarding the information seeking process.  This may be helpful in understanding how students approach the research process, and at what points in the process they may require intervention or support from their faculty and librarians.
