First-time users: Click Register and create a personal UTD username and password.
Returning users: Click Log In with your existing UTD credentials.
Access Anywhere
Once registered through the library link, you can:
Log in directly at www.uptodate.com without going through the library link.
Download the UpToDate mobile app on up to 2 personal devices.
Your UTD account is a personal username and password you create the first time you access UpToDate through Fresno State’s library link.
It lets you sign in directly at www.uptodate.com or on the mobile app.
Think of it like creating your own Netflix login — Fresno State covers the subscription, but you need your own login to use it.
Every 90 days, log in again through the library link to re-verify your student affiliation.
If your access stops working, simply repeat the login through the library link.
Access evidence-based clinical information at the point of care.
Helpful for coursework, assignments, and research.
Convenient during clinical rotations or studying from home.
Tip: Bookmark the library link in your browser so you can easily refresh your access every 90 days.
Mobile App: Search for UpToDate in the Apple App Store or Google Play. Log in with your UTD account (created via the library link).
Note: The “library link” uses a system called EZProxy, which verifies you’re a Fresno State student so you can access subscription resources. For more details and screenshots, see the official UpToDate handout attached to this guide.
