If the Fresno State Library doesn't have the materials you need, you can access a vast network of resources through two key services: CSU+ and Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
CSU+ allows you to borrow books and media from all 23 CSU campuses. Here's how it works:
What You Can Borrow: Books and media (e.g., DVDs, audio CDs) from CSU libraries.
Delivery Time: Materials typically arrive in 2–4 business days.
Loan Periods:
Books: 60 days, no renewals.
Media items: 30 days, no renewals.
How to Request:
Start at the library homepage and use the OneSearch form, or go directly to OneSearch.
If the item doesn't appear, adjust the search scope to "CSU+ Books & Articles" or select "All CSU Libraries (CSU+)".
If available, click "Request this item from other libraries" and choose:
Get a physical copy: The item will be sent to Fresno State; you'll receive an email when it's ready for pickup.
Need a chapter?: Request a scan of a single chapter; you'll get an email when the scan is ready to download.
Interlibrary Loan provides access to materials from libraries worldwide, ideal for items not available through CSU+.
What You Can Request: Articles and books not in CSU+ (note: textbooks are excluded).
Delivery Time:
Articles: 2–3 business days.
Books: 7–10 business days.
Loan Period: Varies, as set by the lending library.
Article Access: Delivered in PDF format, accessible for 30 days.
How to Request:
Log in to Interlibrary Loan with your campus username and password.
Choose the item type to be borrowed from the "New Requests" menu and fill in the form with as much information as you can.
You'll receive an email once the requested material has arrived.
