Welcome to the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children's Literature!
We are located on the 3rd (third) floor in the South Wing of Henry Madden Library. The Center is one of North America's leading resources for the study of children's and young adult literature. The growing collection of 50,000 books, periodicals, manuscripts, original art, and papers of authors and illustrators, has an international and multicultural emphasis. Its materials are available to anyone for use in the Woodward Family Reading Room in the Special Collections Research Center, located on the 4th (fourth) Floor in the South Wing.
The Arne Nixon Center materials are available for in-library use only. To use materials housed by the Arne Nixon Center, you can search for them on the library catalog. Write down the title and author name of the materials that you want, and contact us to set up an appointment to use the materials.
