The V.E. Library consists of historic and contemporary periodicals, books, conference proceedings, pamphlets and brochures, research reports, and theses. These cover the topics of viticulture and enology, as well as general agriculture, ag business and marketing, soil science, molecular and micro-biology, chemistry, pest management, and sustainable and organic farming.
Visiting and browsing the collection is freely open to students, staff, and faculty of California State University, Fresno, industry, and the general public. Borrowing privileges requires the appropriate card.
OneSearch will find both what the Fresno State library and the VE Library have. It searches for books, ebooks, articles, videos, maps, and more.
If you only want to see only what the VE Library has:
Once you have searched, in the Refine Results column to the left of the search results, scroll down to Location and select Viticulture and Enology Library to limit your search returns.
If you can’t find your item at Fresno State, expand your search to CSU+ Books&Articles. If your item is available at another CSU library, you can request it and have it sent to Fresno State (books) or to your email (articles and book chapters)
When an item is unavailable from the library and CSU+, you can request it via our Interlibrary Loan service. You will need to enter your Fresno State email username and password before submitting your request.
See below for details on searching for and requesting items from outside of our collections.
If you don't find what you need in OneSearch: Books & Media, use the All CSU Libraries (CSU+) link on the left column to search for and request an item from another library in the CSU system
For instance, search OneSearch:Books & Media for the title "Intelligent robots and drones for Precision Agriculture"
Then click on All CSU Libraries (CSU+) to search CSU Books & Articles at other CSU libraries.
If another CSU library has the item, click on GET IT to request an article, and either Get a physical copy OR Need a chapter? for books
