Maps and GIS

The Fresno State Library has an extensive collection of map and GIS resources, both electronic and print, with a focus on California and the Central Valley. Our Map and Aerial Photography Collection is available for use by Fresno State members as well as the general public. Additionally, our Geospatial Information Services offers both resources and support for students and faculty using GIS in their courses and research.

Fresno GIS Resources

City of Fresno Map

  • Mapping software provided by the City of Fresno.  Includes Census Tracts, Blocks, parks, police districts, and much more

IviewFresno

  • GIS resource providing access to data including water and sewer technical information, transportation infrastructure, assessment, urban growth, development activity, and more for the City of Fresno. (Access limited to Fresno State affiliated users. Contact Chris Langer (clanger@csufresno.edu) for login information)

Map and Aerial Locator Tool (MALT) 

  • A spatially enabled, web-based aerial photo and map discovery tool.  Contains aerial and topographical maps from various dates, mostly in the Central California region.  Currently in beta stage of development.
  • PolicyMap utilizes GIS and US data indicators to provide detailed maps, tables and charts of the nation. Includes demographics, income and spending, housing, lending, quality of life, economy, education, and health
  • 250,000 data maps, hundreds of profile reports, and 220 years of demographic data.
