Research Help 

• Chat Research Assistance
  The Fresno State Library is one of many libraries across the U.S. that staffs the LibChat 24/7 Chat service. This service is ideal for research questions and general information.

  To schedule a research appointment, please contact your subject librarian directly.

  We are happy to answer brief questions or simple research inquiries by email.  For more in-depth questions, please make an appointment with a subject librarian for a phone or Zoom conversation.

  Tutorials are available to help you learn how to find, use, and evaluate resources to use in your research.  Students may self-enroll in our Information Literacy Canvas course to earn badges as evidence of completing modules. Instructors may also assign these modules to their students.

Resources for Faculty 

Librarians invite faculty and instructors to contact them to schedule synchronous or asynchronous virtual instruction sessions, create research guides, help you find online alternatives to resources used in your classes, and much more. We are here to help! 

Research Assistance

• Subject Librarian consultations via email and Zoom ​Our librarians are dedicated to helping your students develop information literacy skills. Subject librarians will help search for information, use databases and access materials, and provide assistance with library services, collections, and policies.

• Research Guides Subject guides, class guides, research assistance, and other useful resources compiled by your librarians. If you would like a guide created for your course, please contact your subject librarian. 

Resources for Teaching

• Open Educational Resources The library provides information and assistance for faculty to adopt a variety of low-cost and no-cost education resources. 

• Online Materials Request Form Use this form to request electronic materials for your courses. Please include as much information as possible. You will receive an email confirmation of your submission.

Online Replacements for Course Reserves

Students may be able to find online copies of textbooks or other course materials. Try the options below for finding an electronic version, or fill out this form and we'll look for you!

Printing

Pay for Print services are available on the first floor of the library. Black and white and color printers are available. Payment stations are not available, you must add funds to your card using the online system.
